I went to this gig last night at the Barbican - wow what an amazing band the Drive By Truckers are. In terms of songwriting Cooley & Hood are one of the best partnerships out there, and were even better (IMO) for the period they had Jason Isbell with them as well. A political, storytelling band they are one of my faves. True talent.
